Protection from UV rays
UV radiation is high-energy electromagnetic radiation of short wavelengths, invisible to the human eye. Even if we don't see it, it reaches our skin and eyes and is absorbed by our tissues. ERP coating is applied on the lenses to provide maximum UV 400 protection for your eyes and also for the eye tissue.
ERP lens coating blocks harmful electromagnetic radiation invisible to the human eye and protects from ultraviolet light.
ERP coating provides protection against harmful UV radiation of the 400 nm spectrum and part of the potentially harmful blue radiation from the visible spectrum that causes strain on the ciliary muscle of the human eye.
When it comes to clear lenses, ERP coating blocks UV radiation with a threshold of 400 nm by about 98%, which provides clear lenses with UV protection as good as on quality sunglasses.
Along with ERP treatment, it is recommended to apply an anti-reflection coating to eliminate unwanted reflections, improve visual clarity and reduce eye fatigue.
