Blue Cut UV

The human eye is exposed to the natural blue light of the Sun and to the light coming from artificial sources (TV, PC, mobile phones...). Blue light with a wavelength between 390nm and 440nm is considered potentially harmful. Scientific research has shown that long exposure to harmful blue light can potentially cause damage to skin and eye tissue.

Excessive exposure to blue light can cause eye strain, loss of concentration, headaches, blurred vision, red, dry eyes and even permanent degenerative changes to the cornea. Because of the potentially harmful blue light, it is recommended to protect the eyes by using lenses with a protective coating.

Blue Cut UV is a lens coating that blocks and repels the spectrum of harmful blue light; transmission is reduced by 25% in the range of wavelengths from 400 to 500 nm, which corresponds to visible blue-violet light.

Lenses with Blue Cut UV protective coating provide complete protection and comfort during all activities during the day, both indoors with artificial lighting, as well as outdoors.

By wearing lenses with Blue Cut UV coating, the use of digital devices will not have harmful effects on vision.
