MyoFocus – Take care of your child’s vision!

What is myopia and why it occurs?

Myopia is a type of vision impairment and is measured in diopters.

Myopic person doesn’t see well objects that are far, because rays of light entering the eye are focused in front of the retina instead of on the retina. This usually occurs because of excessive axial elongation.

To reduce the growth of diopters and slow down myopia progression in children, ophthalmic lenses for slowing down myopia progression should be used.

Innovative lens design of MyoFocus lenses is the result of detailed research and development and offers cutting-edge solution for managing childhood myopia.

The causes for myopia onset are connected to genetics, habits and environmental conditions:

  • If one or both parents are myopic, there is greater risk that the child will be myopic.
  • We spend less time on activities outdoors, and we are less exposed to natural day light.
  • More time is spent on near vision work activities – reading, writing, using digital devices.
