Photosensitive lenses
An increasing number of people wearing eyeglasses desires to have one pair of modern glasses that can be used both indoors and outdoors. Owing to modern technology, now it is possible to have a transparent ophthalmic lenses that, when going outdoors and coming into contact with UV rays, become dark to a certain percentage, thus protecting against harmful UV light.
These are photosensitive lenses. This modern technology provides the user with extremely transparent lenses in an enclosed space and extremely dark lenses in the open. The time for darkening the lens and returning the lens to a transparent state is very short.
In its portfolio, Grossoptic offers two brands of photosensitive lenses - premium Transitions photochromatic lenses and standard Sunshade photochromatic lenses.
Transitions Signature GEN 8 is the latest Transitions generation of photochromatic lenses developed after 5 years of continuous work and research. The result are photosensitive lenses with a longer lifespan than the preceding generation, that darken faster and again become transparent faster indoors, provide more color intensity, have better color stability.
